Saturday 5th August 2000 vs Ploughmans C.C.

Washington C.C. 117 all out
Ploughmans C.C. 118 for 5

Washington's Seconds ended up as late lunch for a hungry Ploughman's eleven on Saturday. Batting first, Wash struggled and only good hitting from Paul Swords (23), Terry Tidey (22) Alec McNellan (22 not) saw them to 117.
However, when Washington bowled, the Ploughmen tucked in. They reached the target with five wickets in hand, only Jimmy Wood (4-34) doing anything to blunt their appetites.

Asked how he felt after the game, Wash skipper Dave Walker said simply: 'chewed'.
