Sunday 21st July 2013 vs White Swans C.C.

A Welcome Win

White Swans C.C. 91 all out (28.1 overs)
Washington C.C. 93 for 1 (15.2 overs)

Peter Kloss reporting

This was a welcome, and comprehensive victory for Washington in Harrow, breaking a run of 3 defeats. Club Vice Captain Mike Turner won the toss and put White Swans in to bat. Wash bowled them out for 91 with Stuart Marsh taking 4 wickets and Peter Kloss 3.

The runs were then knocked off for the loss of only 1 wicket, Clinton Dugmore (40*) and Ash Cruickshank (25*) bagging useful average-boosting runs with some lusty blows.

Other notable facts for the day were Kevin Read being presented with his club cap, and a debut for Tom Harper who looks a promising batsmen for the future.

The boys enjoyed a prolonged beer in the sunshine, the game finishing before 6pm.
