Sunday 20th June 2010 vs Northfields C.C.

Wash Gallant Losers

Northfields C.C. 241 all out (36.1 overs)
Washington C.C. 182 all out (39.4 overs)

Depleted by 2 late player withdrawls, but boosted by Lee Fogarty turning out for a couple of hours at short notice, the Wash made a gallant effort to match Northfields yesterday.

There were 4 wickets for Luke Mitchell and 2 a piece for Fogs and Chad Bhaskar as Northfields were bowled out for 241 in 36 overs on a small pitch at North Middlesex.

Washington were in trouble at 19 for 4, but 50s from Nick Bunney and Mike Turner and a great defiant knock of 35 from David Gluckman got the team to within 60 runs of the target, all out for 182 in the end.

Well done to the guys who were there and put the effort in!
