With 5 new players playing their first game for the Wash it was a good team performance in a drawn game of declaration cricket against Petts Wood Tudor with everyone either performing with the bat, ball or fielding. Chasing 236 -7 dec, the opposition finished on 163-8 (still playing their shots) with the Wash unable to take the last 2 wickets in gloomy conditions. Key performances were Hill 73 not out, Relf 48, 3 wickets for Sam Barker on his debut, 2 great catches by Speck, one equalling Fogarty's backward one handed catch at Northfields a few seasons ago, and 23 and 2 catches for James Vosti, one catch were he dived like a salmon to catch one handed at gully.
