Hadley Wood Green

Hadley Wood
Directions:
If you have an A-Z, you can see all this: it’s on page 5, right at the top in square F.

If you don’t, here’s what to do: Hadley Wood is out beyond Southgate. Take the A111 out of Southgate, go through Cockfosters and on till you approach Hadley Wood. Take a left hand turn off the A111 onto Lancaster Avenue. Follow this all the way down and turn left onto the Crescent (one half of which is marked ‘East’ the other ‘West’: don’t worry about it, just turn left). You will pass Hadley Wood Railway Station and shortly after that you come to a track which looks very small and is easy to miss, so keep your eyes peeled: this is Bartrams Lane. Drive down it to the end, and there are the pitches.

They have asked us not to park in the lane because it upsets the residents -park on the pitch itself.

If you should accidentally get lost when you’re out in Hadley Wood, best thing to do is to ask for directions to Hadley Wood Railway Station, and then look for Bartram’s Lane.

Alternatively, you can just catch the train to Hadley Wood from Finsbury Park. It take about 15 mins. Come out of the station, turn right, and immediately go down an unmade road until you come to a little white woden bridge: cross it, and you can see the pitch through the hedge.
